✨ Pro Tip:
Trim wick to 1/4" before lighting. Every. Single. Time.
This isn't just an important safety measure... it also prolongs the life of the candle and ensures it is performing at its best.
✨ Pro Tip: When lighting for the first time, allow your candle to burn for at least a few hours. This will allow the candle to develop an even "melt pool" to ensure a clean, balanced burn throughout the life of the candle. Believe it or not, candles actually have memory, so that first burn is VERY important! It is great practice to always allow the candle to reach a full melt pool.
✨ IMPORTANT: Burn within sight. Keep away from flammable objects. Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface. Do not burn candle for more than four hours at a time. Stop use when only 1/4" of wax remains.
~ 9 oz: 50+ Hours when burned properly ~
~ 20 oz: 60-75+ Hours when burned properly ~
The Zona Co. candles use close to the maximum fragrance allowed in soy wax. We find that the 9 oz candles fill smaller spaces very well and our 20 oz candles fill larger, more open spaces.
* Spotting *
If you see what appears to be a “wet spot,” where there is a gap between the glass and the wax, you are seeing “spotting.” Don’t fret! This is a perfectly normal characteristic of soy wax. Spotting can occur due to extreme temperature changes during shipment, while in transit to its destination, or during outdoor markets. Spotting WILL NOT affect the way your candles burn! It is purely aesthetic and proves its cleanliness!
* Frosting *
If you see what appears as little crystals (not the actual added crystals...think crystallization) in the wax, you are seeing “frosting.” Have no fear! This is a perfectly normal characteristic of soy wax. In fact, this is a great indicator that the wax is 100% all natural soy wax and not a blend with nasty preservatives. Frosting can occur due to extreme temperature changes during shipment, while in transit to its destination, or during outdoor markets. Frosting WILL NOT affect the way your candles burn! It is purely aesthetic and proves its cleanliness!
